Where can I check system resources in Windows XP? In Windows 98SE I
could find the information easily under Control Panel, System or under
Programs, Accessories, System Tools. That information isn't listed under XP.

You don't.

There is no "system resources" in XP.

Xp handles resources in a totally different way than Win 9X/Me did.
You will not have the "resource problem" in XP that these earlier
Windows versions had.

Since there is no problem of this type and there is nothing classified
in XP as "system Resources" there is no need to have a tool to show
them.

Correct. It isnt there, and that's good, not bad. The term "System
Resources," in Windows 9x and Me, referred to a particular data structure
that doesn't exist in Windows XP. It was a limiting factor because it was
fixed in size, and when it was all used, you crashed.

Windows XP is designed entirely differently and there is no such structure.
There's nothing to run out of and therefore nothing to monitor.

That's one of XP's many improvements over 9X. There are no System Resources
to run out of or to be concerned with.
