I just upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP Home
Edition. How do I find the system properties performance?
I need to know the system resources percent free so that
I may decide which startup files to keep from starting.
This was simple with Windows ME, but I can't seem to find
the same data with XP.

For information on what programs you should let start on
system boot try the advice at

I would suggest making a system restore point before doing
anything.

To see what your system is doing: Ctrl-Alt-Del brings up
the task manager in XP.
