System Resource Hog

When Microsoft AntiSpyware is running other programs will
not open. I loked at TaskManager and see 100% of my
resources being used. Next I close Microsoft AntiSpyware
and only 4% of the resources are being used.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Does Microsoft know (or care!!)?

This is from Bill Sanderson a few months ago:
I think you are seeing a bug in the program--probably a loop.

Can you tell what threat Microsoft Antispyware is trying to remove when it
gets stuck this way?

Can you submit a Tools, Suspected spyware report from this machine,
describing the issue you are having?

I'd say you would be better off seeking a different tool to remove the
particular threat that is stalling Microsoft Antispyware.

This is not normal operation for the program.

If you go to control panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft Antispyware,
and choose Change, and then Update--and then restart the program, does this
behavior continue?

If it does, I'd recommend uninstalling and testing again when a further beta
build is released.

Microsoft probably cares, but in a symbolic way, they
probably don't; Microsoft wants ALL your system
resources; they think they, instead of you, own them.
(They probably don't know, either; they shoot themselves
in the foot with a goofball program, and they're too self-
absorbed and lumbering to know it.)

The OP has a problem.(period)
System resources are meant to be used: I'm running Einstein@home at 100% and
I am still able to do what I want to do; such as programming, viewing live
video and lurking in newsgroups....
