I'm not real PC proficient, but am interested in creating
my own website for my new business. I have Windows 95, so
it looks like I can't use the latest version. What can you
recommend?

Also, I would like to use 2-3 photos on my website, but
have no equipment for scanning. How do I make that happen
as well?

Thank you so much for your time!!

If you have no plans to upgrade your computer to use MS
FrontPage, you'll have to learn HTML and code your pages
in Notepad. There are many books and online sites to help
you with this.

If you have no intention of purchasing a $59 flatbed
scanner at your local Circuit City store, you can take the
photos to a service bureau. They will scan your photos and
put them on a CD or diskette for you for around $25 each.

Excellent way to put it, Steven. :-)

The only problem will come in that Lynne may not be able to find a low end
scanner that will run on Win 95. I think she's about to learn a hard
(translation: costly) lesson about computers.

FrontPage 2000 will run in Windows 95.

As for scanning images, have a friend with a scanner
scan them for you.

I used Windows 95 till last year. I was able to run Front Page 2000 on it
OK. You can probably find this (or Front Page 98) on ebay or at www.half.com
for a very reasonable price.

My old visioneer scanner, the first One Touch they made, worked ok with my
Windows 95 computer. I have it packed up but didn't offer it for sale at
half.com or anywhere because I wondered if anyone still used win95.

So don't give up. You can still find things that will work ok.
