I was told that its a good idea to set up System Recovery
so if something goes wrong you can go back to a preset time.
The problem is I dont know who to set this up.
Can someone please advise me on how to do this.

Thanks

It is set up by default. Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System
Tools>System Restore. Make sure the top radio button is selected and click
Next. You should see a calendar on the left with some dates in bold. If
you do you are all set. If you want to set a special restore point, just
select 'Create a restore point' on the first page and give your restore
point a name that records what you are about to do.

To turn on system restore, go to Start>Help and Support and type "turn on
system restore" in the search box (upper left). Click the link in the left
pane and follow the directions in the right pane.

I see that Colin has already told you how. I'll just add one
comment, because this often confuses people. The System Restore
feature is not a backup technique. It lets you restore the
operating system to a previous state, but does nothing for your
personal data. Certainly you should have System Resore running,
but you should also be sure you have a good backup scheme in
place.

Unless, of course, you mean Automated System Recovery?

Paste the url into your browser (remove any spaces resulting from cut and
paste).

D.

Did you get it to work for you? You can also find it via the search feature
at microsoft.com more than likely. I'm not even sure that's what you're
looking for, it was just an idea because your post wasn't exactly clear what
you meant.
