I am experiencing crashes on my Win2k A.S. service pack 4,
during CD writes...
The drive is an HP DVD100i with current firmware.
I am writing to an 80 minute CD in audio format using
Roxio 6.
The drive will burn the first 5-8 tracks, then the
computer will suddenly reboot.
There is nothing helpful in the event logs about a problem
except a "Unexpected Reboot" from a bugcheck, but that is
useless, because it writes it out to a mini-dmp file,
which makes no sense to me...
Has anyone heard of this problem before? I do also have a
CD-ROM drive. The DVD writer is the master on the
secondary channel and the CD-ROM is the slave.
Reading from either drive is not a problem, and only
happens when writing a CD!
Thanks.
