When doing searches on ocasion if you click on a link the
system goes right to the bios and reboots. There is no
error message or option. This may or may not happen if
you repeat the seach and may not happen for quite a while
and then click and reboot.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does any one have any
resolution to this problem.

I have the same problem. But it is worse. My computer
reboots right away everytime I try to open Internet
Explorer. I am virus free, spam free, adware free,
spyware free, and I also ran Norton WinDoctor. Nothing
seems to work. Making me crazy. I hope someone has a
solution and posts it.

Windows version?

I have the identical problem. It happened constantly when
I tried to upgrade to WinXP. Had to go back to Win98SE
after months of fighting with it.

Now my Win98SE is doing it. Started just after I upgraded
to IE 6.0. Tried uninstalling back to 5.5, but I'm still
getting the problem, just not as frequent.

I took off antivirus, firewall, etc. to try to isolate it.
Still happens. I'm stumped and am considering yet another
total rebuild. Thank goodness for ghost.

I'm very interested in an answer myself.

Oh, and FYI. I've run complete scans with my Nortan AV
with latest DATs (12/3) AND McAfee's free online scan AND
spybot AND hijackthis. I have Zone Alarm's latest running,
it's not picking up anything. I am clean as a whistle. . .
and I am still rebooting spontaneously whenever I'm
surfing on IE 5.5 or 6. No weird sites either. Just poking
around MSN.com will do the trick.

My system will stay up for hours with other windows apps
(calculator) or video games. Reboot is only with IE.

Help???
