Yes all of them, only onboard video chips use system memory.

That can, yes. Non Hypermemory cards don't use any system memory.

Most Radeons do not use Hypermemory. I've owned a 9600, x700, x850 and
currently own an x1600 and none of them use hypermemory. The only way
to be sure though is to check the specs of the card - which you can do
online. I would never buy a hypermemory card.

The non-X300 and non-X1300 cards (i.e. anything that isn't a bottom-feeder)
don't use system memory.
BTW, system memory costs much less than video memory, and you probably won't
notice 32-64 MB missing when a gig is installed. For a PC whose 3D game
performance isn't a priority, "Hypermemory" isn't such a bad thing if the
card's price is accordingly low.
