After re-loading MS Office 2000 several times, I keep
getting an error message when trying to start MS Access
that says "Microsfot Access couldn't find 'system.mdw'.
This file is required for startup. Yet the file does
appear in my C:\program files\common files\system folder.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? The same discs have
loaded Office onto my other computers flawlessly; I only
have problems with this one CPU.

Thanks

The file should be in your \System or System32 folder depending upon your
flavor of Windows. If it isn't, you'll need to point it with a shortcut to
whatever security file you are using. The shortcut might read something like
this (on one line):

"c:\msoffice\access\msaccess.exe" "c:\foldername\mydb.mdb" /wrkgrp
"C:\program files\common files\system folder\system.mdw"
