I've just acquired a used computer using Win2000 and have
encountered something I don't quite understand. This
computer was originally on a network in a school district.
At boot, I get an error message telling me that the System
cannot log on, please check domain and user ID and re-
enter password.
The user account being booted to is Administrator, which
currently has a blank password since this machine is not
on a network. I can click OK and get through the error and
logon panel, but I would like to get rid of this error
message popping up everytime.
Is it possible this will always come up because I am
logging in as Administrator? It would be reasonable to
expect that the System could not automatically log on an
Administrator -- that would be defeating the purpose.
Any thoughts on the subject?
Thanks,
George
