Excel will not open. It starts to and them just stalls.
The only way to get around it is to restart the computer.
If anyone has a solution, I would appreciate it!

You hit one of my favorites. I'll bet excel works in safe
mode ok. Try it by clicking Start->Run->excel /s

Staci, it's 99% likely it's a busted toolbar. Do not
listen to those who suggest uninstall and reinstall -- the
problem stays because the toolbar is considered data and
not program so busted toolbar do not uninstall.

Start->Search(or Find if you're Win 9x)->Files & Folders
"Find what:" should be *.xlb search the entire C: drive.

Rename the .XLB files it finds to whatever.OLD (e.g.
excel.xlb renamed excel.old (Yes you can delete them, when
excel launches and doesn't see one, it makes a new default
toolbar called excel.xlb)

Launch excel the way you normally do and all should be
well.

And, yes, it's your turn to buy the beer!
