There are a myriad of system information utilities. Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Barry Karas

P.S. I have Windows XP Pro with SP2.

This freeware programme is excellent for getting information about
your computer:
Everest Home Edition (freeware)

Tip: To copy select Report, Quick Report, Plain Text, highlight
required text, right click and select copy. However, whilst this is
fine for posting small amounts of information into newsgroup messages
longer reports will irritate other newsgroup subscribers.

For software

Download, install and run Bellarc Advisor
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

Hope this helps.

1) Start > Run > MSinfo32.exe.

or

2) Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information

or

3) Start > Run > DXDiag.exe.

or

4) Right-click My Computer > Manage > Device Manager.

or

5) If none of the built-in tools provide the information you want, you
can use these utilities to help determine the identities of your
computers components:

SiSoft's Sandra

Belarc Advisor
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

Unlimited Possibilities' AIDA32
http://forum.aumha.org/overflow/aida32.zip

or

6) Look in the manual/documentation that came with the computer.

I just want to review what is on my system occasionally. Of course, if my
computer is acting strangely, I may want to/have to use such a program.

Are they still trustworthy now that Microsoft has bought out
sysinternals?

I don't mean has Microsoft embedded viruses in them; even I'm not
that paranoid. But do they now reveal less information than they used
to, or do they require installing something stupid like .NET or
Windows Genuine Advantage?
