Check if WMI is working properly

1- Right-click My Computer and select Manage.
2- Expand the Services and Applications tree
3- Left-click WMI Control to highlight it and then right-click on it and
select Properties.
4- If WMI is working properly you will see "Successfully connected to
<local computer>".

Thanks for your help and references....
This might be pretty difficult to fix, you need "advanced" computer
skills to muddle your way through this one!

A repair install (in-place upgrade) may be the easiest solution to your
problem.

You're welcome. Make sure that the Wbem folder is in the Path Variable
(%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;).

You can also try reinstalling WMI, it's an easy 3 step process that
takes a minute or less:

1- Stop the WMI service.

2- Delete the WMI repository directory (C:\WINNT\system32\wbem\Repository).

3- Restart the WMI service.

John

Followed the WMI reinstallation and received the following:

Failed to initialize all required WMI classes.

Win32_Processor: WMI: Invalid class
Win32_WMISetting: Successful
Security information: Successful
Win32_OperatingSystem: WMI: Invalid class

I would reinstall the operating system.

That's what I did...
And did not install many unused programs..

Thanks for your help
