Hi there.

Win XP Prof with latest updates on Laptop:
Intel Pent III, 646MHz, 320MB of Ram & 1.6GB free disk space of 50GB.

It sometimes happens that my computer is verrrryyy slow. When opening
Windows Task Manager and go to Processes, System Idle Process is running
at anything from 80-95 of CPU usage.

Is there something I must set or do I just need a bigger HDD?

Regards,
deon

Hi

The higher the System Idle Process %, the better. It means that the CPU
isn't being used.

To start with, 1.6GB free space on a 50GB drive is only 3.2% free space
which is way too little. For example Defrag needs 15% free space to run.
You need to get a bigger hard drive or move data to a usb hard drive or burn
to CD/DVD.
