system icon tray

I need to know how to put my printer icon in the system tray in the lower right hand corner.

That's up to the printer manufacturer. Either they support a permanent
presence in systray or they don't and only they can tell you.

You can add a printer shortcut to your Quick Launch toolbar if you wish.
Right-click on your Taskbar and unlock the Taskbar. Then go to
Start > Settings > Printer and Faxes and drag your printer icon to
the Quick Launch toolbar (which is on the left side of the Taskbar).
