After restoring system state onto different DC hardware,
the server will not boot into any mode. At each mode, the
Windows logo/gui appears, than hangs, what can I do?

I DON'T receive a blue screen either.

Thanks.

Based on the symptoms it seems that you restored the OS to a system that has
a different hardware abstraction layer (HAL). You can try the steps for
scenario 3 in the first article below

I was able to resolve the problem doing the following:
a) Loading the basic win2k with sp4 and the backup
software.
b) Boot the server into the normal mode, and then restore
system state first(over write all the system state
files).
c) Run the restore again, restore all the files in the C:,
do not over write the existing files.
d) Reboot the machine once the restore completes. It
should pick up all the new hardware.
Hope this works for you.

Thanks, but I CANNOT boot into any mode, so the links you
gave will not work and I already have tried them in
previous trials.

You have a running copy of W2k server before the system state restore. Boot
into DSR mode and restore the system state. reboot. boot off the CD and
when it ask you to install windows 2000 or repair it you need to choose
install windows 2000. it will ask you the agreement and then it will seatch
for previous versions of windows. it should find the copy of windows 2000
server. at this point choose r to repair. This will delete old system
files and replace with new device drivers ect. after this you should have
the system back up
