System halted

Hi

I bought a Vaio Notebook FJ76GP/W
in Sept 2006, just come up once with big blue screen and wordings -
"Hardware Malfunction
Call your hardware vrendorfor support
MMI:Parity check/Memory Parity Error
The systrem is halted"
Then switch off and switch on back to work again. Found no fault after
checking system/hardware setting.
What is the problem ?

And why didn't you do exactly what the message told you to? This is a
new notebook, only a few months old and still under warranty.
Immediately call Sony tech support for repair/replacement.
