system folders

Hi

I had a problem with running regedit on my machine. Someone told me it was a
virus that has put regedit.com into my system folder. When I go into the
windows directory I can not see my system32 directory. I have the settings
to show all hidden files and folders on. If I go through a command prompt I
can see the folder though.

Any thoughts? I run AVG and have done a complete scan and nothing, also I my
windows xp updated to date.

Thanks for all help in advance.

Run this command (from Start/Run or by Command Prompt) :

AVG is an antivirus and will not do much if anything about any spyware
infestations.
