Hi!

I am a previous user of Windows 98 and I found System File Checker useful
(From System Tools > System Information > System File Checker). I am looking
this feature on Windows XP but I cannot find. Is there an alternative in
accessing this?

Me

Look for SFC.EXE in the \windows\system32 folder.

At a command prompt type sfc /? for a list of the options.

There is an equivalent utility in Windows XP that runs from the
command prompt.

Open a command prompt window by using Start - Run - CMD and then in
this window enter the command

SFC /?

to see the command line parameter options available.

Or you can look in Help and Support. Just search it for SFC.

Good luck
