I have a problem with my computer i will be very thankful
if you can help me solve the problem.
Whenever i start my computer for the first
time in the day initially the system boots properly and
when iam ready to work on the computer, within a minute
or two the monitor goes blank. It looks like a system
failure or crash, the power of the PC is still on but i
cannot use the reset button as it does not work at that
time.
The interesting thing is that when i
restart the PC for the second time it does not crash and
works perfectly fine.
So the problem is always the first time
i start my computer.
I have scanned my hardisk with latest
anti virus software and i have also done error checking
but the problem still remains.
The O/s is windows Xp .

Sounds like a hardware issue but try this:

We want to implement the Cleanboot process using MSCONFIG to rule out 3rd
party software as the cause of this issue. MSCONFIG from XP can also be used
on a Windows 2000 Pro or Server client.

Go to Start\Run type in Msconfig and press OK.
Go to the Startup tab.
Click on "Disable All"
Go to the Services Tab
Click on "Hide all Microsoft Services"
Uncheck the 3rd party services that are left
Press OK twice to reboot.

Once your computer is restarted see if the issue still occurs. if it still
does go to Msconfig and select Enable All on the startup tab.
If the issue does not occur go to the Startup tab and select items 4 at a
time or so with reboots in between to narrow down the exact item causing
your problem.
