System Error 121 - What is it?

I'm having trouble moving my XP Pro laptop between three
different lans. This message shows up using

net view \\computername

as suggested in troubleshooter. The computer is the
Samba server on one of the networks. Other machines show
up, but the printer is on the server. My old Win 98
laptop moves with ease between the three.
