Scott M.

I am a newbie to the ES namespace and have heard peple talking about using
it in conjunction with ADO .NET in aiding in the creation of connections.
So far, what I can find out is that ES is related to ADO .NET in
transactional processing.

Does ES provide any benefit to ADO .NET if I'm not using transactions?

Hello Scott,
Thanks for your reply.

System.EnterpriseServices namespace provides .NET objects with access to
COM+ services making the .NET Framework objects more practical for
enterprise applications. The most used feature of System.EnterpriseServices
or COM+ is the distributed transaction support.

Thereby, in my opinion, it's not necessary to import EnterpriseServices
Namesparce if you doesn't work with transaction. Do you face any further
issue on this? If true, please feel free to post here. We are glad to
assist you.

Hope this helps,
Best regards,
Wen Yuan
