You cannot uninstall the previous damaged version of windows XP, you can
however disable the menu at startup and make sure that the true and correct
version is up and running. you can then try to delete the map of the damaged
window from within the working windows XP. do remove it from the startup
selection list, right click on my computer on your desktop, then go to
properties, and click on the tab called "advanced". You see 3 buttongs with
"settings" in this screen, press the one next to "startup and recovery" in
there you can edit the boot.ini. remove the line of the corrupted operating
system. OR select from the menu above the correct operating system, and
uncheck "time to display list of operating system" please note that you MUST
know which one the correct and working version is.. if you select the wrong
one, you are screwed!!!!! don't say I didn't warn you!
