Hello, I´ve added a new hard drive to a Windows 2000
Server with one HD as normal and a second HD as dynamic.
If I boot the System I get a message that the boot device
is not accessible. If I remove the new HD - the System
boots normal and works. Whats the Reason for this
behaviour? Microsoft won't help witout paying :-(

Hello,

Im sure - this is not the reason - the system boots
normal and this error happens after switching the boot-
screen to 'normal' blue screen for login dialog.

Did the first disk have an EISA partition on it? (An unrecognized file
system type)
Convert the second disk back to basic and see if this coorects the problem.
The only reasons for having a dynamic disk are fault tolerance or to
circumvent the (4) primary partition tables limitation on basic disks.
