Have an old program that manufacturer has decided to not support. Would like
to attempt to set system date and time prior to 1/1/2000 or prior to
1/1/2003. Are there any issues with XP home and the MS operating system in
which changing the system date and time could cause issues?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi

Yes - there are a lot of issues. The main one being associated with Windows
Update. Changing the date/time will throw WU out of sync - not to mention
other Windows apps. that you have installed.

Absolutely!

Every automatic update from antivirus to your anti spyware definition files
(including all program updates where you go to the manufacturers website)
relies upon your computer having the correct date - so they know what you
need.

Then there is Windows update!
