My system,crashes frequently. When it does, my mouse and keyboard freeze, but otherwise everything seems to still be running. I have to hit the reset button and restart. What could be the problem?

but otherwise everything seems to still be running. I have to hit the
reset button and restart. What could be the problem?
Is the case far enough away from enclosures to prevent airflow restriction
at the back, top and front?
Is the video driver up to date? Check the card or chip manufacturer's
WEBsite. If results are poor ROLL BACK to the prior driver. If you are
unfamiliar with this process, it's best left to someone who is.
If the crash occurs in only one program, suspect the program itself.
