Go back to the "serious error" data and make note of all of the
infomation, including the error code and all 4 parameters associated
with it. Post that information back here.

Good luck

Here are the things I could get off the reports:

"The system has recovered from a serious error"
Error Signature: BCCode 100000d1 BCP1: FF111006 BCP2: 00000002 BCP3:
00000000
BCP4: F841FBC9 OSVer: 5_1_2600 SP: 2_0 Product: 256_1
Technical Information:
C:\DOCUME~1\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WERc7d0.dir00\Mini091206-02.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WERc7d0.dir00\sysdata.xml

Okay. That's pretty good info.

The error is a STOP (or Bugcheck - same thing) 0x000000D1:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

The most common cause of this error is a defective device driver that
is using incorrect memory addresses. Other possible causes include
defective or mismatched RAM modules and a damaged/corrupted Windows
pagefile.

Did you add any new hardware devices recently, or update the drivers
for any existing items?

Did you add additional RAM to the computer recently?

The error originates with the driver or component that is using memory
address F841FBC9 so if the answers to the above questions do not
provide any further insight into the cause we will proceed to track
down that address reference.

Good luck

Hi,

Can you send me this file:

C:\DOCUME~1\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WERc7d0.dir00\Mini091206-02.dmp

Use the email address used here ([email protected]) and a subject line of "per
req". It may help pinpoint the problem file. If there are several minidumps,
send the most recent 3-4.

No, no new hardware added , no drivers have been updated, and no RAM added.
(FYI I also tried "system restore" to a couple of days before this started
happening, no result, same problem)

Hi,

There are several ways you can do this, probably the easiest will be to
simply copy/paste this into a run prompt (click start/run or hit the
winkey+r):

C:\DOCUME~1\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WERc7d0.dir00\

It should open windows explorer to the location of the dump file
(Mini091206-02.dmp) where you can right click it and use "send to"-->"email
recipient" and fill in the other information I supplied.

As Ron has correctly surmised, it is a driver problem. All the dumps pointed
to the same file (which is what I suspected, and this also indicates that
it's not a faulty ram issue), that being netflt.sys. This file is part of
Panda AV software, not part of WindowsXP. My recommendation at this point is
to either uninstall/reinstall it, or uninstall any recent update to it, or
perhaps see if there is a more recent update. You might also contact their
support regarding this issue, as it may be known with a possible resolution.
You will find detailed removal instructions here:

Thanks!! This stuff, (as you can tell) is w-w-a-a-y--y beyond me, so this
input "makes my heart shine!" (as my daughter used to say. I'll get at this
(FYI I have had Panda for several years, I have been happy with their
program, but their support is terrible, ie. I emailed them 10 days ago, no
reply yet. In the past it has taken one day or 2 weeks!)
