Lately, I seem to be having a buffer overflow problem.
Whenever I view a video, YouTube, wmv, etc., after
several minutes, the system hangs and must be power cycled.
This is NOT a virus problem, nor is it a memory limitation,
as I have 4gb RAM installed. Any ideas for correcting this
problem would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave

Check cooling fans on everything, especially video
card.

Playing back video is a hardware intensive thing.

Check your Video and other Drivers.

Also check to see what your default Player is and
make sure nothing loading is in conflict.

This is a recent occurrence. Videos used to play just fine.
I am using a laptop with plenty of cooling, so that's not the
problem. The system passes all diagnostics. I suspect that
something has caused the video buffering to change.
This happens with different players, i.e., Windows Media
Player, RealPlayer, etc., so it must be system specific.

When the system crashes, I am assuming that there might
be a clue in one of the system logs. Any ideas on which
log I should investigate, or any other helpful suggestions
are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the responses, so far.

Dave

See if it happens with FFox.
