System Configuration Utility - Startup Cleanup

In SCU (by running msconfig) there are some programs which are listed under
the startup tab which are no longer on the PC.
This results in the PC starting up and displaying Windows Explorer. I can
not find a way to clean up and remove these lines. Undr Windows ME there
was a useful clean up button which verified each line and deleted those that
were no longer there.
One of these programs (sON.exe) seems to have come down from the internet
but it does not reside in the Registry and was in "document & settings\my
name\local settings\temps" which was cleaned out by my regular purging of the
temps files. (it does not reside in the recycle bin so I can not restore and
check it out and I would have to go back nearly 2 months on the main restore)
Any suggestions would be appreciated on clearing up these issues.
Thanks in advance

Go to http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp.htm Line 148 right side,and
download a vbs script that will remove disabled items from the misconfig
start up. Be sure you have unchecked all the programs in msconfig start up
you want to delete. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link - downloaded program and ran this morning. Cleared out
a couple extra as a bonus as well.
Happy New Year.
