System Check Disk Error

Every time the pc is turned off the system
performs "Check disc" at start up. I don't understand
why since the PC was turned off using normal procedures.
Additionally, after checking the "Even Log" I found an
event that stated the PC was turned off using Crtl Alt
Del but this was not the case. Any ideas as to why it
would perform a check disk every time?
