system automatically restarts after beep

Hi there,

My computer has been acting rather odd lately.....it will
emit a series of random, high-pitched beeps, at irregular
intervals, then restart automatically.

It particularly occurs more when I run a program such as
SimCity 4.

Can anyone provide any insight as to how I can narrow
down what to look for?

I'm running a virus scan as we speak, but I can tell you,
I have always been intelligent and diligent when it comes
to suspicious email, etc.
