Every time I restart my computer, the System 32 folder
opens. Anybody know what's going on? I have done a virus
scan, and it hasn't picked anything up!

Thanks for the help!

Hello Justin,

Here is an article that should help you:
170086 System32 Folder Opens When Logging on to Windows XP, Windows 2000, or
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=170086

Other causes
========
The problem is caused when the user has Netscape 4.5 installed. The build
most known to cause this is 98293. To check the build number Launch
Netscape and go into Help - About Communicator. The good build number is
98287. To remedy the problem, however, you must delete the ntuser.dat for
the user that is having the problem.

2. The problem was narrowed down to a file named msmqs.exe under the folder
C:\Windows.

msmqs C:\windows\msmqs.exe/nodelay/fastlogon/synclinks

Used the following steps to remove it permanently:

Note: You can directly go to step4 if Clean Boot has not been tried.

1. Click Start, click Run, type "Msconfig -6" (without the quotation marks)
in the open box and click OK.
2. Please click to check the item "msmqs -
C:\windows\msmqs.exe/nodelay/fastlogon/synclinks".
3. Restart the system.
4. Click Start, click Run, type "regedit" (without the quotation marks) in
the open box and click OK.
5. In the left pane, expand the tree to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

6. In the right pane, please retrieve the msmqs entry and delete it.
7. Restart the system, go to the folder C:\windows, and then delete the file
msmqs.exe.

Thank You.

Diana.
