I have Windows XP. Everytime I open it, the System 32 folder pops up. I have
to manually close it. It doesn't affect the operation, it is just really,
really annoying. After weeks of following Microsoft's instructions, we have
still not been able to stop it from opening automatically.

I am hoping that someone can tell me to stop it from opening automatically.
IT CAN"T BE THAT HARD!!! It would be greatly appreciated.

Reboot your machine, does it pop-up again?
If it doesn't skip the next link and go for the scan steps.

This can be caused by a blank entry, such as can be left behind by
an incomplete program removal, in the
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and/or
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys. It can also
be caused by an entry in these same keys that starts with a " / ."
