Please let me know if there's a better news group for this question. We're
using an imaging program called PING (Partimage Is Not Ghost;
http://windowsdream.com). I'm also using the deploy cab files from the XP
disk to setup sysprep stuff. I have a few questions about the sysprep inf
file.
1. Using the setup manager, I can choose to have sysprep create a name for
the computer or I can specify a name. I'd like to be able to specify the
first nine characters (047-C309-) and have the computer generate the rest.
Is that possible?
2. For securtiy, we want to rename the administrator account to something
else in our image. So can we do that before clicking on Reseal? Or, if
we're using sysprep file, do we have to leave the root account name as
administrator and change it later by script?
3. We need to have the computer reboot 3 or 4 times after joing the domain
to finish software installs via GPO. I know there is a setting to log in X
times as administrators. Can I add a setting that will force X amounts of
restarts?
