Needing a Ghost image that is hardware independant, and
having a bad history of BSODs, I found posts from people
who claimed to have fixed their own similar problems by
launching sysprep with the -pnp switch and by using a long
sysprep.inf file.
I created my sysprep.inf file, created a sysprep folder on
the mahcine to be Ghosted and copied my sysprep tools into
it. Then I copied the entire i386 folder into the sysprep
folder.
When I launch sysprep -pnp, it runs for about a minute but
ends in:
"An error occurred while trying to update the registry.
Unable to continue."
Has anyone had this and know what I should look at or
change?
