My antivirus is telling me that the virus Amitis1.3
editserver is in the file sysmgs.exe. What is this file
and can I just delete it. The original virus found is
called backdoor.beasty and has created a file called
dxdgs.dll that will not let me delete it because it is in
use.

Possible Trojan Horse.
Does this help?
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/backdoor.beasty.kit.html

or try "backdoor.beasty" / "backdoor.beastie" at Google, A-V and
A-T sites perhaps. Someone should have removal instructions.
Note however that your system _may_ have been compromized already.
