I would like to now how to resolve the error "syshost.exe
error. The error occurs when I am trying to print for the
internet. I am using windows 2000 proffessional and
dialing up to AOL. Whe I try to print the
error "syshost.exe has generated errors and will be closed
by windows. You will need to restart your computer.

Thank you for whatever help I can get

Hi Richard. I'm experiencing the same thing and am
browsing the microsoft.public.win2000.printing user-group
when I came across your note!
It started to happen a while back... it's on my wife's PC,
which is a Dell running Windows2000 and cheapo Lexmark
Z22. We also use dial-up for ISP but not AOL. I've tried
installing and uninstalling the printer drivers and that
ain't it. I can also "see" that the print documents are
not going into the printer queue so I know it's an OS
problem... after a while it announces via the soundcard
(that's a Lexmark thing), "unable to communicate with
printer!", etc. I'm also getting the same error as you
mention on the subject line.

It does not happen on my work laptop (ThinkPad w/Windows
2000 and SP4) so I'm going to try to install Servie Pack 4
and see what happens. The home PC does not have any
Service Packs installed at this time.

If you, or anyone else, find anything please let me know...
