Synthesize sound still unclear!!

Let me try and explain again what I wish to acheive..

I want my project/video to use sound samples from both my chosen audio files
+ the sound from the video clips.. you see.. All there seems to be is 1
equaliser that determines the sound from either the video or audio clip, your
chosen setting on this equaliser then seems to determine the sound setting
for the whole of project.. I am making a video where I have numerous video
clips merged together with a variety of audio files accompanying the
visuals.. however I wish for one of the clips to be heard (the sound from the
video recording) but it seems you can not do this as your setting is for
whole film not just one scene...

Help?

In Timeline View...split the sound files where
you want the volume to change...and adjust
the volume per section by Right Click/Volume.
Also you may use the Fade In/Fade Out.
