I have just rebuilt a system with this motherboard, it is working
faultlessly but it took a bit of fiddling to get it so. I think I have read
somewhere that the original BIOS does not recognise the new Durons. You may
have to upgrade the BIOS from www.syntaxusa.com to get the system working,
but on my last visit the web site was in a terrible mess with dead links all
over the place. Try running it with a Morgan or a Palamino to check my
theory, there is a useful forum on www.ebuyer.co.uk web site about this
board, you have to navigate to the product and then read the customer
feedback.

I just built a system with this m/b and CPU and it does boot at 1.6GHz but
shows as Unknown processor. If you flash the BIOS with the latest version
it does identify the CPU correctly.

I'd suspect an overheating shutdown. Make sure the HSF is correctly fitted
and the fan running. I trust that you bought a new HSF and not tried to use
the existing lower specification one.
