Downloading this program is a breeze compared to actually installing it. The
Setup.msi file indicates I need .Net Framework v. 1.1.4322, but when I click
on the .NET Framework Redistributable Package link, it says I already have
version 2.0 installed and will go no further - a Catch 22. Can anyone
recommend a workaround so I can install this usefull-sounding utility?

..Net Version 1.1 is different than .Net Version 2.0 so you need to install
Version 1.1 to use SyncToy. Once you install Version 1.1, you will have both
versions (1.1 and 2.0) on your computer.

You should be able to find Version 1.1 on Windows Update.

You only need Version 1.1 for SyncToy, but it has to be Version 1.1 not 2.0.

You may need Version 2.0 for other programs running on your computer so do
not uninstall it.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction; the Microsoft Update is
probably useless for this sort of thing, though. I had better luck using
Microsoft's Download Center...versioni 1.1 was listed as #3 in popularity!
