SyncToy Fails to Copy Files

Recently loaded the latest version of SyncToy (v1.2.0.75) and encountered a
condition in which it does not copy files to the target destination. The
task is set to ECHO files from the source (folder on local hard disk) to the
destination (removable USB flash drive). The first time the task is run, all
files and folders are correctly copied. However, if a file (or in this case,
one of the sub-folders) on the target is deleted, the next time the task is
run it fails to copy the missing file/folder to the target. And no
error/warning messages are given.

Running a preview of the task correctly shows that the files/folders should
be recopied, but none of the steps in the "Active" column are checked.

I have a similar problem.

If a file is locked (e.g. being edited in Word) when Synctoy first tries to
copy it, (also to a networed drive,) then it can't because the file is
locked. From that time on, Synctoy will not try to copy the file, even though
it doesn't exist on the destination drive. If you preview the sync, it
appears as a new (or modified) file, but the check box to perform the action
is not checked. I am using Synchronize action for this particular folder.

It's almost as if one portion of the program determines which files are
candidates for copying, and another portion determines which of these
candidates should check the check boxes to be done. This second part of the
program only appears to try to do the action the first time it encounters a
file, and then never tries again because it assumes that the action was
performed successfully the first time the file was found.
