SyncToy and NTFS/EFS encrypted files

Hi,
Is there any way to syncronize encrypted files to/from a volume that is not
encrypted? Of course loosing encryption when copying to, same as when you
copy files using Windows Explorer.
Right now I obtain an error from SyncToy saying it's unable to copy
encrypted files.

I would love to see this feature as well. I keep "My Documents" on my laptop
encrypted in case I ever lose my laptop. I would like to use SyncToy to keep
a copy of some of the folders in My Documents on a network drive. I don't
need the files to be encrypted on the network drive.

This is exactly what I was looking for too! I'm glad I looked at this
newsgroup before installing the older version of .NET (on my new laptop
which automatically installed .NET 2.0) and spent hours experimenting only
to be disappointed.

Yes, I would like this too.

It's ironic that I can "drag and drop" files to the file server but SyncToy
cannot do the same, when source files are encrypted.

I also faild to synchronize EFS-files over the network, which is as much as I
understand, a problem of EFS-files, which can per se not copied over the
network because they have to be deciphered for the copying process and that
would not be safe by the nature of the network copy. My workaround is a local
USB-disk, attached to my desktop and laptop. It means two times
synchronization but finally works for the EFS-notebook-desktop scenario.

Stay tuned for the next release of SyncToy - this should work then.

Thanks
