Synctoy 1.2 -- deselecting subfolders??

(1) In SyncToy 1.2, when I deselect a folder, why aren't the subfolders
deselected with it?

A folder like My Music has thousands and thousands of files and folders.
When I deselect My Music, everything under it stays selected -- do we really
have to deselect every single file under a folder by hand?

(2) Also, as some have pointed out -- when you rip a new CD, or create a new
subfolder in any folder you've already deselected, the new folders/files are
automatically selected in SyncToy... even though the parent folders are not??

I can't shift-select or ctrl-select to tick multiple files. Apparently the
ONLY way to do this in SyncToy is file by file. If so, that is a SERIOUS
limitation and problem with this program.

Am I missing something? Have others found workarounds for these two issues?

Sorry, no answers, just wanted to say that if you are missing something then
I'm missing it too! Had exactly same problem last night, wanted to sync My
Docs but not My Music - what a pain! Took ages to manually deselect al those
Artist/Album folders. Hope this gets sorted in a future release!!!!

This is most annoying problem with synctoy: I've deselected multiple temp
and not needed folders. If a subdirectory is created there, it still will be
synced. And that's an behavior, which shouldn't be there.

Otherwise SyncToy is runnig wonderful.
