Hello Group,
I hope this is the right group for my question, so forgive me if it's
not.
I have to move a large intranet from a Windows 2000 standalone server
to another which uses local accounts, about 2000, for acess control on
web sites.
I would like to know if my idea for doing that migration is right:
1) first I do a dcpromo on the actual server to have all my accounts
in AD
2) then I join the new server to the AD domain
3) I let all accounts syncronize then I remove the old server from
domain
4) last I can do dcpromo on the new server to have all user accounts
locally
Could this work?
All help is appreciated.
Bye,
Dirk
