need help

Everytime I go to a web site that has music background it brings up this
small window on my computer called "quick install". The name of the
file is "syncor.exe"
I searched on google and cant find nothing. I scanned my computer with
multiple virus scans and nothing comes up. I also scanned my computer for spyware. Nothing came up. "syncor.exe" has to do with
some audio file, but I dont know why this "quick isntall" window keeps
popping up when I go to a site with music background. It never use to do
that until just recently. Nobody installed any new software recently.
That we can remember. I have to bring up the task manager to close
the "syncor.exe" file or else it will stay open. Any suggestions
anybody? I have Windows XP home and IE 6. All updated. Thank you.

"Syncor.exe" appears to be a part of some audio drivers. Why your sound
card would suddenly feel a need for this file to be "quick installed" when
listening to music on web pages, I don't know.

Suggestions:

--What program do you have setup as your default media player? If it's one
that came with the sound card, you may want to try another selection such
as Windows Media Player.

--Have you checked the internet for information about your sound card?
There may be an autoupdate feature in the already installed software that
is generating that quick install prompt. There may be updated drivers and
software available for it.
