Syncing creates multiple Contacts folders

Hi,

I can't find any info online about this so maybe someone here can help. We
use Outlook 2003 as an IMAP client to our email system at work. (PCs with
Win XP SP2) When a particular user syncs his Blackberry contacts with
Outlook, Outlook creates 2 duplicate Contacts folders - so 3 folders all
together - the original Contacts and the 2 that are created. The 2 new ones
are called "Contacts in Personal Folders", even though we aren't really using
the Personal Folders folders, except that they are the default whe using IMAP
with Outlook.

So, how can I stop this duplicate folder from being created? Thanks.

Rebecca

P.S. I already looked through all the settings of the syncing software and
there is nothing there that seems related.

Sync software usually operates only on the delivery location folders. IMAP
folders can never be the delivery location folders, so synching will always
happen with the "Personal Folders" folders (when a PST is the delivery
location). Some sync software allows synching with other than the delivery
location folders, but the documentation for the sync software will indicate
whether or not it can.
