I made a (test) new contact in Contacts and then Send/Receive. The new
contact did not show up in my Contacts folder on the exchange server?
I am pretty new to Exchange and so need help:
Basically, if I make any changes in my Calendar/Contacts etc., I want
the change to be made on the server copy.
Am I missing something here?
PS - "Use Cached Exchange mode" is enabled

If you're using Exchange and you created a new contact in the Contact folder
in the mailbox, then it, by definition, is on the Exchange server, since
that's where your mailbox resides.

Unless something is interrupting the information flow between Outlook and
the Exchange server, this should be happening automatically.

I made the (test) contact in my Contact folder in Personal Folders.
Perhaps I was not clear enough - oops!
I want the Personal folder contacts to be synced with the Contacts in
the exchange folder. Is that possible.

There are some third party tools that will do that. See if something here
helps:

However, why aren't you keeping your data on the Exchange server?

Er...because I was always using a local "copy" as I have some email
accounts that are POP3. Only last week did I change to an Exchange
server for the one account.

So you now have your Exchange account delivery to the same data store where
your POP account delivers messages. You should change your delivery
location to be the Exchange server and then the Exchange folders will be the
default folders.

Please...how do I do that?
Thanks

Tools>E-mail Accounts Next. Select the proper folders in the "Deliver new
e-mail to the follosing location" drop-down, stop and restart Outlook. You
can then copy the data from the PST to the Exchange folders.

Thanks!!! Before I actually do that (I had a quick look and so want to
double-check), will my POP mail then come into the Exchange folders?
Thanks for walking me through this - it helps!

Yes, but if you want them separate, use a rule that moves messages received
via the POP account to another folder, like one in your PST.

Can Rules move from one PST folder to another? I thought it was only
within that folder.
I will have a look.

A rule can move a message from your Inbox to any folder in your mail
profile, whether in the same message store or another.
