I am a novice running Outlook 98 on Windows XP with a home network between
my laptop and desktop. What is the best way to keep Outlook synchronized
between the 2 PCs?

Thanks.

If it is just to synchronize the email, set one up to leave a copy on the server from the email account settings. If you are talking about things other than mail, the only way is to backup a pst from one computer and continually open it on the other

It's not for email. It's for Calendar and tasks.

When I open the backup in the other PC, won't that just double already
existing appointments and tasks?

I'm using Outlook 98

Does Windows Briefcase work well? I've never used it.

Sue Mosher's SlipStick site has some information
on the briefcase method and a few other options.
