Does anyone know how to make this work? I have uploaded
my contacts from excel into outlook on my computer. I
cannot get it to synchronize with my palm. Any ideas?

It's been a long time since I used a Palm, but back then I needed something
like PocketMirror to synchronize with Outlook. Have you installed some
conduit software like that? Probably came with your Palm on a CD. If not
it used to be available for purchase/download on the Internet. I've been a
PocketPC user for the last couple years so I don't know what the current
conduits for Palm are.

According to the Palm site (the company is now called palmOne and can be
found at www.palmone.com), PocketMirror should indeed be on the CD included
with the Tungsten T2. (The newest palmOne handhelds, the T3 and the
Tungsten E, ship with Palm's own conduit software.) You may have to open
the CD folder in Windows to find the install file for PocketMirror -- on my
CD, there is no PM install option on the AutoPlay menu.

Assuming you have Palm's conduit installed---did you have it installed
before or after you decided to synch with Outlook? During install of Palm
Desktop, you were asked whether you wanted to synch with Outlook or Palm
Desktop. Outlook had to be installed to choose that option. If it wasn't,
re-install your Palm conduit.
