Bob

I have a user on a win2k machine that is suddenly unable
to make certain folders available offline.

The functionality works because he can make other network
folders available.

Also new folders added (with no contents) cannot be
synchronised

I've checked permissions etc.. and all seems ok, has
anyone else experienced this/know of a fix?

Hi Bob,

This might be the user's issue:

287566 The Cache Option for Offline Files Must Be Disabled on Roaming User
http://kb/article.asp?id=Q287566

You may want to investigate this a little further to see if there are permission issues.

Any specific errors? Usually you can look up the errors on line and find a solution. You did not
mention any errors in your email.

274789 The Folder Redirection Feature Does Not Function

262845 Support for DFS-Based Shares for Offline Files

I'm assuming you not speaking of offline mail files/folders.

Hope the above helps,

Gary
